Solar panels will not pay for themselves in your lifetime.  I know because I have some.  They will increase the value of your home, reduce your bills, and be generally better for the environment, but the cost of the panels and installation is very high.  I have only 6 panels and they (plus istallation) would be worth about 20,000 when I got them (I won them in a contest 8 years ago).

None the less, I still think solar panels are great, you can get small systems too, such as for emergency use or for an RV or Cabin.  Check out this panel Sunforce 50033 15-Watt Solar Charging Kit

Otherwise the actual cost for your house depends on where you live and your power needs.

This is true.  Most alternative energy systems are too expensive to use unless money is not an problem for you and you want to help the environment.  Perhaps a less cost effective means is to convert to a generator that runs on the a non-polluting natural gas.  Another option is to install a windmill and use the electricity.  You can also use the windmill building to store stuff or as an office.

Hi, I think the price of solar panels have reduced in recent years even though its still quite expensive. They do reduce dependability of electricity from government utilities. How much a solar panel cost depends on how big your house is anmd how much power you use. you can get all of this information at http://www.atoincom.biz/expert/solar-system/

Serving food for a gathering of about 20 people can get a little frenzied if you do not have ample cutlery of the same design to serve them all in. After al...
